For nearly 18 years the Walker Family has provided many customers, both local and around the country, with various custom wood products and services. Walker’s brings both integrity and quality to every job, no matter what size. We work closely with our clients to ensure their total satisfaction. We cover a large spectrum of custom building with items ranging from a single turned spindle to a carved cedar mantle, to a whole house cabinet job. We build all types of furniture including chests, tables, chairs, desks, and we specialize in custom furniture, cabinetry, and ornamental pieces. We spent the first few years of our business restoring and duplicating antique furniture and wood works. Our ability to replicate turned and carved pieces to exacting standards set us above the average restoration shop. Over time our customers commissioned us to build more and more and we gradually moved the center of our business away from restoration. The knowledge we have gained from the restoration experience has proven to be very useful and help set us apart from most of the modern industry. We use modern equipment and techniques in conjunction with the craftsmanship, excellence and design we learned from doing restoration work to create a high-quality end product. We have references both local and abroad that we can produce at a customer’s request. We also hold a South Carolina specialty contractor’s license.
